Primary election results certified, six advance to November
The council certified the August 12 primary results, putting mayoral candidates Melissa Clark and Jared R. Gray and four council candidates on the November 4 ballot.
What it means: Your November ballot is now set: two names for mayor, four for city council. Turnout was 25.5%, with 116 mailed ballots arriving too late to count, so watch the postmark deadline in the fall.

Councilmember Gray moved that the Board of Canvassers verify the results of the 2025 Municipal Primary Election by ratifying the results of the canvass; accept the report of the Election Official and certify the election results; and declare Four-year Mayoral candidates Melissa Clark and Jared R. Gray; and Four-year City Council candidates Emily Buss, Brett L Wright, Craig Whiting, and Charlotte Ducos eligible to be on the ballot and nominated for the General Municipal Election on November 4, 2025. Councilmember Wood seconded the motion.
