Councilmember Gray moved to adopt an Ordinance of Eagle Mountain City, Utah, Repealing and Reenacting Eagle Mountain Municipal Code Chapter 2.45 Youth Council with changes as follows: • Include “Youth” Mayor when referring to the Youth Mayor and “Mayor” when referring to the appointed City Mayor, • In Section 2.45.040 Subsection E, committee approval by the City Manager will be replaced by Youth Council Committee of Advisors. • In Section 2.45.040 Subsection A.8., include “Elected City Mayor” when coordinating all activities with the Youth Council Committee of Advisors. • In 2.45.010 Section C: Change from “members are appointed to Youth Council by the City Manager” to “members are appointed by the Youth Council Committee of Advisors”. City to sell a small parcel to adjoining owners
The city approved selling 0.156 acres of city-owned land to the owners of the neighboring lots, with the sale to be finished by February 19, 2026.
What it means: Only the owners of the adjoining lots are affected. They can buy the parcels together on one application, and within six months their fences must sit on the correct lot line or be removed.

Councilmember Gray moved to adopt a Resolution of Eagle Mountain City, Utah, Approving the Disposal of 0.156 Acres of Designated "Significant Real Property" (Utah County Parcel #49:601:0080) Pursuant to EMMC 3.30.060 and 3.30.070, and Establishing Terms of the Disposal with terms below: • Approving option two with each landowner of the parcels listed signing the land disposal application. The applicants may combine the application into one land disposal application and fee. • If any landowner, in any of the lots are unwilling or unable to purchase the corresponding parcels, the approval will revert to option one. • It is required that all fences are on the correct lot line or the lots are to have no fence within 6 months of recordation. • The water requirements for each parcel are fulfilled with the purchase of the parcels as deemed appropriate by staff. • The full land disposal application and process must be finalized in six months (February 19, 2026). Councilmember Wood seconded the motion.
RAP tax question goes to voters in November
The council put a 0.1% sales tax for recreation, arts, and cultural facilities on the November 4, 2025 ballot.
What it means: You decide this one at the polls. If it passes, you would pay an extra 10 cents on every $100 spent in the city, with the money going to recreation and cultural facilities.
