The council voted to offer the city manager job to its chosen candidate and sent the mayor and Councilmember Wright to negotiate the employment contract.
What it means: The city manager runs day-to-day operations, from budgets to staffing. You will not deal with this person directly, but the terms of the contract, including pay, come back to the council before anything is final.
