0 motions · 0 ordinance lines · 0 resolution lines
Summary
The Community Services Board's first meeting. Mayor Gray welcomed members and Steve Mumford outlined the board's advisory role — making recommendations to the City Council on parks, recreation, arts, events, cemetery, open space, wildlife, and RAP Tax funding (with possible subcommittees). The board discussed upcoming events: the Memorial Day service, Pony Express Days (including a possible community-input booth at Family Fun Night), and pursuit of the Healthy Utah Community designation. Jessie Southworth demonstrated a parks/trails app she built. The board expressed support for a draft Rules & Regulations document and directed staff to add a reference to City Council policies before submitting it for Council approval. Officers were elected by unanimous vote — Chair: Jessie Southworth, Vice Chair: Charlotte Ducos, Secretary: Marian Burningham — and the board adopted a 2026 meeting schedule (generally the fourth Wednesday, 6:00–8:00 PM, at City Hall). Adjourned at 8:22 PM.
